New Delhi: Congress party leader Rahul Gandhi and RJD chief Lalu Yadav had dinner together. This happened hours after the Supreme Court stayed the conviction of Rahul Gandhi in a defamation case related to the “Modi surname”. This decision now allows him to return as a Member of Parliament.
After taking photographs together, where RJD leader Lalu Yadav gave a bouquet of light colored flowers to Mr. Gandhi, both of them sat down to eat. The mutton served was cooked by Lalu Yadav himself.
This meeting took place at RJD MP Misa Bharti’s residence in Delhi. Bihar’s Deputy Chief Minister Tejashwi Yadav was also there. The meeting assumes significance as the newly formed opposition group India is planning to hold a meeting in Mumbai later this month
As soon as Rahul Gandhi got relief from the Supreme Court, his political activities intensified. First of all, he met the party workers at the Congress office. After this he also held a press conference. Then he held an important meeting with the party leaders of Tamil Nadu.

Sources say that the two leaders may meet over dinner late at night. Lalu’s son and Deputy Chief Minister of Bihar Tejashwi Yadav will also be there. This meeting will take place at Pandara Park house of RJD MP Misa Bharti and Lalu Yadav’s elder daughter. During the meeting, they will talk about the current political situation.
